It’s been some time since the last update here, my blog has been gathering dust while life wheels on. I have been hoping for a return to longer form writing/ blogging and decided to take first steps in making that a reality. So where to start? A brief catch up!
Hello all, since the last few entries much has happened, I’ve seen Scotland, France, Japan, Barcelona and The Netherlands. I’ve had the honor of being ordained and performing the ceremonies at my sisters wedding in La Jolla Ca.
I have been on an intensely low sodium diet and have taken up full vegetarianism, I’ve gone from 240 lbs. to 150 and then back to 180. Enjoyed a few Furry conventions and undergone gall bladder removal surgery. I have a new job after years of professional cake decorating and now work remote. I’ve gained fierce new friends and started stepping out of my shell. I helped get a zine project going and had my work featured in it. I’ve created album covers for musicians and began work on my first VN. I’ve created a small slew of paintings and drawings along the way and joined a few spiritual groups. I’m quite sure there is more but the bases are covered.
A health update is due as well, I have been released from six month imaging and now will be seen once every two years instead. The heart condition is being manged as best I can with diet, weight loss and exercise, nicotine was easier to ditch in the long run than I imagined…. So was Xanax….. So was Diazapam….. So was alcohol… all coming in waves one after the other as life, joy, despair etc. unfolded. I’m happy to report I am sober and doing well. the heart condition is congenital meaning I was born with it and now needs to be closely monitored, In short, life unfolds as she does.
The work continues wherever I can stuff it in, I have come to view the internet with a large dose of trepidation and dislike. I no longer see a feed on social media and all of my accounts aside from FA and Bluesky are inactive, this will likely be the case going forward as the internet is further conquested by corporate gutting and grifting consumer waste.
The blog here will serve as a great outlet for some of the writing I have been hoarding in what is now a decent pile of notebooks over the last two years. For now the introduction and catch up will suffice, Rituals undertaken during the Buck Moon have moved me closer to a path I feel comfortable speaking more openly about. For now the altars are full of smoke, the shrines are full of candle light and the animals rustle in the undergrowth of the spirit.
Cheers!
